4 Cozy Fall Staycation Ideas (Skincare Ritual Included)

While here in Los Angeles we may not have changing seasons complete with crisp, autumn leaves falling around us (we can dream of that), we do love providing a way to enjoy the transition for those that do! Since traveling is limited this year, we figured the best suggestion to offer is a cozy fall staycation. After all, current times shouldn’t mean you can’t enjoy a staycay in your hometown! That’s why today we’re going through a few fall staycation ideas to have one the right way.

Go Apple or Pumpkin Picking

Few things are as thrilling or fun as being in the middle of a field surrounded by bright orange pumpkins or ripe, red apples. It instills a feeling of youthful solace that can make literally any day better (yes, even during a pandemic). Nature is known to lift spirits, and calm the soul, and when you can actually reach out and eat something natural… well that’s even better.

So our first suggestion is to go out and get picking! Find a local farm that can use your support during these times, and grab your friends (or kids). The memories you’ll make and the money you’ll inevitably save (from you know, not taking a plane somewhere) is a win-win.

Craft A Wine or Mocktail Tasting

Make the most of your fall staycation in the evening, and have a wine or mocktail tasting at home. This is a simple way to connect with friends, your partner or yourself. All you need is some cute wine or cocktail glasses, a wooden tray to set the glasses on and a cheeseboard. To make it a perfect couples staycation, add some flowers and chocolates to the mix!

To get an idea of wines to use in your “tasting” or different faux cocktails to shake up, head to Pinterest and pin your favorites. Then print out the list, shop for ingredients, and cheers it up!

Create Vision Boards For The Next Year

Since this is your weekend staycation, why not let yourself daydream of abundant days ahead? This is a fun activity to not only get lost in ‘future you’ possibilities, but a way to practice mindfulness while you’re home. To enjoy this project, grab yourself a blank piece of paper (large or small) and fill it with magazine clippings or printed images that showcase your dream life. Once you’re done and feel really good with it, hang it somewhere you’ll see it every day. In a few months, post-staycation, look back and see what’s come true!

Indulge In A Skincare Ritual

We wouldn’t leave the most important activity off the list! Creating a skincare ritual is a great way to reconnect with your body and indulge your senses/skin. We highly suggest taking a calming, essential oil infused bath before diving into the below skincare ritual to make the most of this relaxation time.

Here is how to make a fall staycay with a skincare ritual:

Step 1: Cleanse

The first thing you’ll want to do is cleanse your face. For this, our 02 Cleansing Balm--Overnight Mask is the ideal product.

Step 2: Mask

After you’ve cleansed, it’s time to add an extra dose of hydration to your skin. This is where our 05 Marine Algae Repairing Face Mask comes in handy.

Step 3: Use Face Oils

After you’ve cultivated a glow with your face mask, it’s time to make sure you use a face oil that will target your winter woes. Our 03 Midnight in Corsica Face Oil is the perfect companion product to help you out.

Step 4: Apply A Luxurious Body Oil

To tie it all together and give your whole body a little TLC — Apply our 08 Buriti Body Oil and watch as your skin becomes beautifully soft.

There’s really no wrong staycation setup, but we hope that these offer a great introduction to having that staycation at home. After all, you deserve time off and to yourself, whether it’s a weekend or a week. We hope you have a beautiful time!
